As much as we’re ready to get creative and crafty and design our invitations and favors, we know we have to first secure our big ticket items. That is venue (check), caterer (check), photographer, and music. We’re halfway there!
Decisions about the venue and caterer were unbelievably easy. We fell in love with the Sunken Gardens at Lauxmont Farms the moment we walked down the stone staircase. And fortunately they had a Friday evening available for us! Granted it’s two months earlier than we had originally planned, but we took it! Yes, we did look at four other venues before visiting Lauxmont, but none of them compared to the picturesque outdoor setting.
Our catering decision, on the other hand, was made with just one visit. Ed at The Festive Board greeted us with energy and enthusiasm. He worked with us to create a fantastic menu that fit within our budget!
Wedding planning is indeed in full swing. Next on the agenda: choose an artistic photographer and find my dream dress!
