Sam loves fruits and veggies. Apples, pears, plums, bananas, cherries, grapes, blueberries, mango, watermelon. Broccoli, squash, sweet potatoes, corn, tomatoes, spinach, eggplant. (Though he recently developed a dislike for cucumbers. I don’t know what that is all about.)
We’ve never had to “hide” nutritious ingredients in his meals. But if your kiddo pushes the green stuff to the back of his tray, I have a solution. Fill your blender with spinach, toss in a big handful of sweet frozen fruit and a whole banana, then top with whole milk or Greek yogurt. I bet he sips it right up!
In fact, I think I’ve developed a smoothie monster. Sam is constantly stealing my cup. I suppose it’s time to buy a mini version just for him.

I can’t believe I haven’t given Hailey smoothies yet. What a simple, healthy and easy idea! Sam is such a cutie.
Smoothies are such a great idea! We’ve done them a few times, but I need to make them more often.
