I walked into Nick’s lab two years ago on April 6th. Because it fell on a Monday this year, we waited until Friday to celebrate our “meetaversary.” Nick surprised me with a fun springtime pot of cala lilies, and we had dinner at the Gamble Mill Inn — a place we’ve been wanting to try for months. Nick ordered a beer while I sipped a glass of Pinot Grigio, and we shared appetizers of spinach ravioli in hazelnut sauce and salad with apples and blue cheese. Nick enjoyed his salmon in balsamic marinade, and my seafood strudel — a Gamble Mill favorite — was savory and oh so comforting. It was such a relaxing dinner, and we capped off the evening at home with Wegmans’ ultimate chocolate cake, two forks, and a tall glass of milk to share.
