- Drinking numerous White Russians prepared by my expert father
- Calling the Wileys in San Diego to wish them a Merry Christmas
- Receiving this message from nephew Sean: “Hi … I’m playing with the gift you got me … Bye.”
- Preparing dinner for the Rowlands’ family as part of their Christmas gift … and witnessing the frenzy that took place near the finish
- Beating Nick and Mike at shuffleboard in Arlington
- Realizing that I’m marrying a bargain shopper; he found not one, but two, cozy sweaters at 75% off
- Drawing on the tablecloth at Macaroni Grill with my sister and fiance
- Singing with the Rishel Rock Band
- Dropping clothespins into a milk jug at the Rishel Christmas party; Grandma is a pro
- Crying while watching Marley and Me and thinking I haven’t heard so many sniffles in the theatre since Titanic
- Enjoying Dave’s home brewed pumpkin ale while catching up with the Turocys
- Discovering the Hofbrau House with Nick and eating our way through four authentic German courses
- Sharing a curling iron and clothing with Laura
- Ice skating and eating pizza with my cousins
